FLOOD RELIEF FUND PRESENTING TO DISTRICT COLLECTOR

Unprecedented floods in Andhra Pradesh on Oct 2009 heaped misery on lakhs of people in Kurnool and Mahaboob Nagar Districts. Kurnool, a city with the population of nearly 5 Lakhs, bore the brunt of the flood fury as water reached the first storey of several buildings.
There were heart-rending scenes of people frantically seeking assistance to rescue them.

It is estimated that about 40,000 people had taken shelter on the rooptop and hundreds of villages living on the river bed has been swept along with the livestock. the flood caused by the river Krishna killed 65 people and and effected 1.7 Million people in 5 districts of Andhra pradesh.

GETHSEMANE CHURCH CHARITY

As always, Gethsemane Church had taken immidiate responsibility to help the needy. when announced in church, many Christians came forward with Relief fund and clothes to help the needy. Clothes were collected in 6 Huge Boxes at Church premises. You can see the picture of our Church members packing the clothes.

James 1: 27 : "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after prohans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world"





The Fund collected is made into a cheque and is submitted to the Anantapur District Collector.
Jesus says " Love your neighbout as you love yourself". It's such a great joy doing what he says.
